Wood Partners has welcomed its first residents to Alta Riverwalk, a 304-unit multifamily project in Metrocenter. Alta Riverwalk is located directly adjacent to the Metrocenter Levee Greenway Trailhead; providing access to miles of walking/biking trails overlooking the Cumberland River and throughout the city. The project address is 115 Great Circle Road.

Its opening sets a new standard in active, wellness driving apartment living in Nashville, according to the release, – one that is being celebrated by local and national organizations, and that the developer hopes launches a next generation of connective, walkable, and bike friendly developments in the Nashville-area.
“We foresaw that the Greenway is poised to play a huge role in the future of our city, and we are excited to be a catalyst as the first community that not only embraced but significantly invested in Greenway living. We’re extremely proud of Alta Riverwalk and the active lifestyle it promotes. It will promote a better-connected Nashville that alleviates stress from traditional transit corridors as well as the wellness of our residents.”
Andrew Steffens, Managing Director of Wood Partners’ Nashville office.
Steffens points to three specific achievements that have positioned Alta Riverwalk to become a blueprint for the type of development he believes a next generation of residents will prioritize. These include:
Alta Riverwalk is Tennessee’s first certified Fitwel® Community (beta), meaning it has been globally recognized for excellence in health and wellness for the whole person. This was achieved through Wood Partners’ intentional design to support and encourage physical, mental, social, environmental, and community health and wellness across the Alta Riverwalk community.
Alta Riverwalk solely funded the Metrocenter Levee Greenway Trailhead renovation with a $400,000 investment. The renovations include comprehensive structural improvement and a new landmark Cumberland River Greenway arch designed and produced by a local artisan.
Each year Walk Bike Nashville, Nashville’s leading advocacy group for pedestrian safety and biking, recognizes leaders in making Nashville more walkable and bikeable through its Annual Awards. Walk Bike Nashville named Alta Riverwalk its Most Walkable / Bikeable Urban Project for 2022.

Alta Riverwalk is the closest apartment community in Metrocenter to Germantown which makes it easily walkable and bikeable to both Germantown and Downtown via the newly improved Greenway.
The project features four different buildings, each with its own unique courtyard and grilling areas. Amenities are top notch and expansive, including a resort style saltwater pool, club room, rooftop Sky Lounge entertainment space overlooking the Cumberland River, indoor and outdoor fitness, bike sharing program, outdoor golf training facility and putting green, which converts to an outdoor movie amphitheater, as well as dog parks, dog spa, and dog friendly units.
With more residents than ever working from home, it also includes Alta Work private office rental program for resident use, which launched for Wood Partners in Nashville with Alta Riverwalk. With the opening of Alta Riverwalk, Steffens has helped to propel Wood Partners to Nashville’s most active community developer. Since launching in Nashville, Wood Partners has completed three projects with an additional four projects under construction and two projects expected to start by the end of 2023 for a total of 2,805 units in the Nashville area.
