The Urban Land Institute Nashville held its annual Excellence in Development Awards this evening at the Omni Nashville Hotel in downtown Nashville. Over 700 ULI Nashville members and guests representing firms across the real estate and land use industry attended the 14th annual Awards event, which celebrates developments that demonstrate exceptional innovation, and impact on the community or within their product type. ULI Nashville Chair, Sheila Dial-Barton and principal at EOA Architects also announced that the ULI Spring Meeting will be held in Nashville in 2026.

“The Awards are always an exciting event for the commercial real estate industry. It’s a chance for colleagues to gather and celebrate the amazing projects within our city,” said ULI Nashville Chair, Sheila Dial-Barton, principal at EOA Architects, “In November, we celebrated Nashville being named the number one ‘market to watch’ by ULI Americas and PwC for a third year in a row, and at the Excellence in Development Awards, we see why we received that title. The Awards showcase projects that are outstanding in terms of architecture, financial success, and land use, but also the impact these projects have on our community. They make Nashville a more vibrant, exciting, and inclusive city.”

Of the twenty-one projects that were nominated for award consideration, eleven received winning recognition due to their demonstration of meeting market demands and addressing community needs specific to Nashville and Middle Tennessee. The judges came from Charlotte, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. to tour and carefully review each applicant across the criteria of excellence in land use and design, construction, and financial success as well as innovation in affordability, sustainability, and public-private partnerships.
