The Vanderbilt Legends Golf Course is undergoing a $13 Million upgrade of its Clubhouse. Originally built in 1992 and acquired by Vanderbilt University in 2001, the existing 26,500-square-foot clubhouse will also get an 8,000 SF addition. The Vanderbilt Legends Golf Course is located at 1500 Legends Club Lane in Franklin, TN.

DeAngelis Diamond is leading the construction of the updated facility which is designed by Meyers + Associates. Every aspect of the 30+ year old clubhouse is being improved to provide members with a state-of-the-art facility for the next 30+ years. Upgrades include new locker rooms, a pro shop, dining areas, kitchens, and fitness spaces.

The Level 1 south expansion will house the new pro shop, along with new men’s and women’s locker rooms with 436 lockers, restrooms, and showers. The Level 2 south expansion will include a fitness and golf circuit area. The exterior will feature a blend of stone, EIFS, and siding, with a combination of shingles and TPO roofing. Once complete, expanded areas will seamlessly blend into the existing building. Here’s the quick rundown.

Inside, the former pro shop is being converted into a new bar and dining area, featuring a brand-new bistro kitchen. This area will have serving windows opening to the outdoor patio, perfect for members grabbing a snack or drink during the turn or after their round. All flooring, wall trim, and MEP systems are also being updated along with the addition of an elevator serving from the basement to Level 2.

The dining area is being expanded to offer more indoor and outdoor seating, including a covered patio with sliding glass doors for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience. A new kitchen will support this enhanced dining space.
DeAngelis Diamond began on preconstruction and budgeting in 4th Quarter 2022. Construction commenced 4th Quarter 2023 and the finished facility is anticipated to be ready for the 2025 season.
