Wood Partners has closed on just over 35-acres of land for its newest project, Altera Gallatin. The new 372-unit residential community will also include nearly 5,000 sq ft of commercial space situated among multiple buildings along Nashville Pike . The site is located 24 miles from Downtown Nashville near Volunteer State Community College at 1330 Nashville Pike.

“Wood Partners is excited to expand our regional portfolio into Gallatin. Gallatin is an amazing suburban Tennessee community with a uniquely woven fabric of locals and newcomers. We are proud to have worked closely with community leaders to ensure that this mixed-use development will have a positive impact in one of the region’s fastest growing areas,” said Andrew Steffens, Managing Director of Wood Partners’ Nashville office.

Designed by architect Axiom and with Studio 5 as the interior designer and Kimley Horn as civil engineer, Wood Partners worked with its project team and the city to deliver an ideal design including meeting a requirement of 70% masonry on the exterior for the buildings. Amenities include a resident clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center and business hub, resort-style pool, dog park and passive amenity lawn, and for-rent detached garages.
Known for its distinct and amenity-rich communities, with Altera Gallatin, Steffens will look to continue to solidify Wood Partners as Nashville’s most active multifamily developer, delivering over 2100 units in the past 36 months. Wood Partners remains actively seeking additional development sites.

Groundbreaking will occur in February of this year with its first move-ins expected in Spring of 2026. Wood Partners is acting as its own general contractor.
