Chicago-based developers Ridgeline Development Partners (RDP) and Deep Cove Partners (DCP) broke ground today on The Bend at Capitol District. The project will be a dynamic new urban destination in Nashville that serves as a mixed-use, phase-two expansion of its TownePlace Suites at North Capitol project, which was completed in 2020. The name The Bend was inspired by local infrastructure, reflecting the nearby bend of the highway and river, grounding it in the area’s history and geography. Skanska is the Contractor for the project. The Bend is located at 450 James Robertson Parkway.
“Today, we are thrilled to officially introduce the Bend At Capital District, a 550,000 square foot mixed use development and a place that we believe people will want to live, stay, and connect as part of the city”, says Jerry Zeitner, CEO Ridgeline Development. “When we started this journey over 10 years ago with our Townplace Suites next door, we saw an opportunity in the capital district to create a community that connects all that is happening across Nashville including the continued emergence of Germantown as a residential and lifestyle neighborhood, the emergence of the East bank development, and the redevelopment of the Titan Stadium.
“The Bend marks an exciting new chapter for Downtown Nashville, introducing a vibrant mixed-use complex that captures the city’s distinctive character and energy,” said Chris Hopper, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Skanska USA Building’s Nashville office. “We are proud to partner with Ridgeline Development Partners and Deep Cove Partners on this innovative project, and our team looks forward to working together to bring this dynamic community space to life in Nashville.”
