Welcome to the next era of CityNowNext, starting with the launch of The Quick Rundown (TQR) — a new monthly newsletter built for busy CRE leaders who want fast, insightful updates without the fluff. Each issue tracks new proposals through approvals, spotlights people and companies shaping Nashville, shares exclusive features and Q&As, and highlights market opportunities positioned in a way that speaks to the market.
This first edition brings an exclusive Q&A with the architects of Albion Music Row, notable zoning updates, recent news shorts, and real estate spotlights. Moving forward, TQR will be free for subscribers — so be sure to subscribe for future Issues.
A special thanks to Greystar for sponsoring the August 2025 issue of CityNowNext TQR. Here’s The Quick Rundown:
Q&A Feature
While much of the industry is focused on acquisitions, interest rates, and rental trends, it’s worth remembering that these projects are more than just numbers. The architecture behind these developments will also define our sense of place and how we live, work, and move in the built environment. Albion Music Row is one of those standout developments, with its floors rising fast and its façade beginning to take form.
In this feature, I conducted a short Q&A with Paul Alessandro, Partner at Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA). HPA designed the recent Albion In The Gulch and the upcoming Albion Music Row; both in the heart of Nashville. We discussed the inspiration behind the design direction, of the upcoming tower along the Midtown Gateway.

“ By strengthening the county’s emergency communications capabilities, this new facility will improve coordination, enhance response times and better support those who work tirelessly to keep the community safe.”said Tyler Baldridge, project executive at BELL Construction.
