W.E. O’Neil Construction is starting work on a new Public Storage self-storage facility in Mt. Juliet. The company brings a long history of delivering self-storage, retail, and warehouse facilities across the country. The upcoming 116,948 SF four-story enclosed facility is located at the undeveloped corner of Golden Bear Gateway and Rutland Drive.

“Our team is excited to continue our partnership with Public Storage to bring this new facility to the Mt. Juliet community,” says W.E. O’Neil Construction Vice President Gregg Riddle. “Middle Tennessee has been experiencing unprecedented growth, and Public Storage will be providing a much-needed elevated self-storage option.”
The building will utilize a hybrid structural system, providing more than 900 storage units. The exterior features a unique façade for Public Storage with full brick to satisfy local planning commission guidelines. W.E. O’Neil noted that they will work closely with repeat-client Public Storage throughout construction to deliver a polished and high-quality final product that reflects the Public Storage brand.
Construction is currently underway, with completion scheduled for October 2026.
