Covering nearly the full city block, Camden Nations is making substantial progress on the garage, podium, and foundations for the upcoming mixed-use development. Once complete, the 393-unit project will anchor the heart of The Nations main street as it converges along Centennial Blvd, 51st, and Louisiana Avenues. The project is located directly behind 51st Deli, Midnight Oil, and about 10 minutes to downtown Nashville at 5010 Tennessee Avenue.

The Nations main street has seen a host of new retail, restaurants, and office space over the last 5 years. This approach has laid the groundwork for the area to sustain itself as a true sub-district of downtown, beyond simply building housing. Many shops in the area have been able to sustain themselves through the neighborhood’s growth, as they navigated the pandemic, changes in interest rates, and now a less-than-ideal economy.

Many long-time restaurants like Nations Bar & Grille and Centennial Cafe where the staff not only remember your name and your frequent orders, to new newcomers like Nicky’s Coal Fired, Stay Golden, and Chex Grille & Wings, should stand to benefit from the opening of the new development. Speaking with some of the business owners, they are expecting the development to bring long-awaited foot traffic to add to the locals and tourists who support them. The map below shows a sample of adjacent shops along the two retail corridors on 51st Avenue & Centennial Blvd for context.

Camden Nations will offer a mix of studio, 1, and 2-bedroom flats and townhouse style apartments and a 539-space parking garage. The building’s amenities are located at the corners of the building along Louisiana Avenue in addition to a south facing pool deck along the alley. There is a retail shell located along the corner Louisiana & 49th, adding to the shops directly adjacent to the building including 51st Deli and Midnight Oil.

A portion of townhome-style units also walk-out to Louisiana Avenue, giving them direct access to Bringle’s Smoking Oasis across the street. For those wanting a more quiet experience, the building scales down along 49th and Tennessee Avenues where there are existing homes.
