Nashville-based employee-owned architecture and engineering firm MJM Architects, Inc. has announced that it has acquired Saorsa Architecture of Franklin, Tennessee. The acquisition supports MJM’s long-term strategy of intentional, values-driven growth, with the Saorsa Architecture team joining MJM at its Nashville office to form a fully integrated practice. The move expands MJM’s architectural capacity in Middle Tennessee while strengthening collaboration across disciplines. The transaction closed on February 27, 2026.

“Saorsa Architecture strengthens our core architectural practice and deepens our presence in a market that continues to be strategically important to MJM. Equally important, this is a proven relationship. Saorsa has already been working closely with our in-house engineering group, Entech, so we know Saorsa’s people share our belief in teamwork, trust, and long-term client partnerships.”
” Mathew Root, President and CEO of MJM Architects. “
Prior to the acquisition, Saorsa Architecture partnered with Entech Engineering, MJM’s in-house mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering group, on multiple projects. That established working relationship creates immediate continuity for clients and allows the combined team to operate as an integrated design practice from day one.

As part of the transaction, the Saorsa team will relocate to MJM’s Nashville headquarters, enabling closer day-to-day collaboration, shared resources, and streamlined project delivery while maintaining continuity for existing clients.
According to Chip Wallace, Principal and Owner of Saorsa, “Joining MJM gives us expanded resources and long-term stability to better serve our clients while creating new opportunities for our team. MJM’s employee-owned structure and collaborative culture were key factors in our decision.”
