Hamilton Development announced today that it has started construction on Cornerstone Business Park, a master-planned industrial park in Smyrna, Tennessee. The 152-acre site will feature 1.8 million square feet of institutional-quality space across 12 buildings. It is located at 5481 W Jefferson Pike.

Strategically situated in the rapidly growing southeast Nashville submarket, Cornerstone Business Park is located immediately off Interstate 840, with convenient access to both Interstate 24 and Interstate 40. The site offers proximity to the region’s major employers, including the back door to Nissan, as well as to Nashville International Airport.

“Demand for shallow bay space in the Nashville market is strong, and this site offers a terrific opportunity to build the convenient, flexible, quality space that we know these smaller users are looking for,” said Whitfield Hamilton, CEO of Hamilton Development. “Rutherford County is one of the fastest-growing areas of the state, and we excited to deliver a project of this scale in our home market.”

Hamilton Development recently started construction on the first phase of the park: eight buildings totaling more than one million square feet – the first of which will deliver in Q1 2027. Phase Two of the project will feature 800,000 square feet of space across four buildings. Hamilton Development currently has 4.5 million square feet of new active development and 11.5 million square feet of legacy development underway across 12 markets, with a mix of speculative and build-to-suit projects from Miami to D.C.
Cornerstone is Hamilton Development’s 14th park in the Nashville market. The company broke ground on Northpark Logistics, a 14 building, 2.1 million square foot industrial park in Clarksville, in July 2025.
