At the forefront is a comprehensive revamp of the Plaza MidCity parking area, aimed at improving accessibility, traffic flow, and pedestrian connectivity. The redesigned parking layout will better accommodate increasing visitor demand while creating a safer, more intuitive experience for guests.
In tandem with the on-site improvements, the City of Huntsville recently approved advancing a major reconstruction of Old Monrovia Road, a key corridor in MidCity District. The project will introduce landscaped medians, decorative lighting, and multi-use paths, transforming the roadway into a more walkable, pedestrian-friendly environment.
Once complete, the upgraded corridor will strengthen connectivity throughout the district and enhance access to Plaza MidCity for both visitors and neighboring communities.

Adding to the momentum, new businesses are continuing to join the Plaza MidCity lineup, further diversifying the district’s retail, dining and entertainment offerings. Guests can look forward to the addition of two fitness concepts: X4 Fitness and GF Fitness. GF Fitness will occupy 24,000 SF. In addition, Maitland Conservatory, a local academy designed to educate modern artists through college-level training in music, visuals, and sound, will soon be relocating to Plaza MidCity.
