Pleasant Green Baptist Church Community Development Corporation (PGC CDC) has unveiled a refined vision for Hope House, its signature housing initiative on Historic Jefferson Street, reaffirming its commitment to creating transformative, family-centered development in the heart of North Nashville.
The updated concept now focuses on a multifamily housing model designed around family-centered living, creating high-quality homes that foster stability, community, and opportunity for current and future residents while honoring the rich legacy of Historic Jefferson Street. The project is located at 1410 Jefferson Street.

As planning has progressed, PGC CDC has refined the project to better respond to the growing need for housing that supports families through thoughtful design, shared community spaces, and long-term neighborhood investment.
“Hope House has always been about creating opportunity,” said Rev. Dr. Chris Jackson, Pastor of Pleasant Green Baptist Church. “This refined vision reflects our trusted commitment to developing more than housing. We are creating a place where families can put down roots, build their futures, and become part of a thriving community.”

To advance the project, PGC CDC will release a Request for Proposals (RFP) in the coming weeks, inviting qualified development teams to partner in bringing the vision to life. The organization is seeking experienced firms with expertise in multifamily development, affordable and workforce housing, and community-driven mixed-income projects.
“Hope House represents a defining opportunity for Historic Jefferson Street,” said Monchiere’ Holmes-Jones, Chair of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church Community Development Corporation Board. “We are looking for partners who understand that great development begins with people. This next phase is about building a community where families can flourish while preserving the history, culture, and legacy that make this corridor so important to Nashville.”
The forthcoming RFP will outline the project’s vision, development objectives, partnership expectations, and selection process. PGC CDC encourages mission-aligned developers, investors, and strategic partners to participate.
Additional details regarding the RFP and project timeline will be announced in the coming weeks.
