The husband-wife team responsible for the Nations area staple, Nicky’s Coal Fired, has opened a new gathering space – The Maxwell Room. The 1600-sq-ft private dining hall will be able to accommodate up to 100 guests for a cocktail event and 80 for a seated dinner. The new event space is set to open its doors this spring located on the opposite side of the restaurant. The venue is located at 5026 Centennial Blvd in the Nations.
“We are thrilled to continue to expand our business in The Nations and open The Maxwell Room, which will be a versatile space to celebrate special events and milestones,” said co-owner Caroline Galzin. “It’s important to us to offer a special experience that is accessible to a variety of budgets, and create events that are custom tailored to each guest. We’ve been in The Nations for ten years, and we love being part of this community.”
The Maxwell Room features an all-inclusive event experience, making it one of the more affordable rentals in Nashville. Instead of charging for the space, a food and beverage minimum must be met with no additional charges for staff, furniture, plates or silverware.
All food and beverage for the space will be coming from Nicky’s Coal Fired, an Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Catering options include entrees such as handmade pastas, roasted chicken picatta, an array of appetizers and salads, and tiramisu or mini cannolis for dessert. Custom desserts or cake options are also available upon request.
The space features a raw aesthetic with exposed brick, late 1800s refurbished hardwood floors and large, warehouse style windows that give the space natural lighting. The openness of the space is conducive to a variety of furniture, whether it’s high tops or banquet tables, and includes a private room that can be utilized as a bridal suite. The rental also includes projectors, AV equipment and a stage, making the space adaptable and ready to celebrate any occasion.
This will be the third hospitality project for Nicky’s Coal Fired co-owners, Caroline and Tony Galzin, in Nashville who are also responsible for the Saint Nicky’s Christmas pop-up during the holiday season. The Maxwell Room is currently taking bookings for this spring through 2025. Reach out to the event venue by using the link (here) for more information or to reserve the space.
