Development activity is booming in communities just outside of the city core. New homesites can be seen under construction from Antioch to Hermitage in the Southeast and Madison to Bellevue in the Northwest. The developments range in size and vary from completely new sites to phased additions. Here is a look at some recent proposals for new homes surrounding Downtown Nashville.
South of Downtown Nashville
Bluff Heights

Located along the Williamson County border, Bluff Heights plans to bring new single-lot homesites to its subdivision. A request has been summitted to rezone the collection of properties to SP Zoning. Once approved, the site will permit 182 units on the 62.2-acre site. The request was made by Alfred Benesch & Company on behalf of the property owners. The property address is 6578 Bluff Road.
Evergreen Hills Phase 2A
Nestled in between I-24 and Nolensville Rd., Evergreen Hills is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and has easy access to I-24. According to the development website, there are 71 home sites with 3-4 bedroom floorplans. Haven Builders submitted a request for approval for the acceptance of sanitary sewer infrastructure and three fire hydrant assemblies and easements to serve the Evergreen Hills Phase 2A development. The acceptance will allow for the development of approximately 39 homesites.
Heritage Landing Phase 4
Heritage Landing is D.R. Horton’s newest community to Antioch, TN. Just on the border of La Vergne and Antioch, this community is located conveniently to many shopping centers, restaurants, and local parks. A request has been submitted for final plat approval to create 92 lots, open space, and dedicate right of way on properties located along Maxwell Road (unnumbered), at the 25.04-acre site. The request was made by Gresham Smith, on behalf of the owner.
The Cove

The cove is a proposed subdivision located on 2 unnumbered lots on Stewarts Ferry Pike. The property is situated along Percy Priest Lake and near 7 Points Camp Ground.The closest intersecting road is Alvin Sperry Road. A request for concept plan approval was submitted to create 21 lots and open space on the 8.7-acre site. The request was made by Dale & Associates on behalf of the owner.
East Of Downtown Nashville
Saddlebred Park

Located along the border of Hermitage, Saddlebred Park is a newly proposed development located off Saundersville Road. A request for final plat approval was submitted to create nine residential lots, two open space lots, and easement dedication for the 2.6-acre site. The request was made by JTA Land Surveying, Inc. on behalf of Cook Land Development, LLC.
Walton Station

Situated near the Dickerson Pike corridor, Walton station is a new 18.36 acre multi-family development. The plan for Walton Station proposes 168 carriage homes, 7 townhomes, and 45 stacked flats. The property owners are requesting to rezone from RS10 to SP zoning on a portion of property on Walton Lane to permit 220 residential units. The request was made by Alfred Benesch & Co. on behalf of the collection of property owners.
North Of Downtown Nashville
Riverview At Cumberland Hills

Riverview At Cumberland Hills is a newly proposed development located in Madison. A request for concept plan approval was submitted to create 46 lots on the 19.85-acre site, located at 2133 and 2135 B East Hill Drive. The request was made by Dewey Engineering on behalf of the Owner.
Green Lane Subdivision

Green Lane is slated for another new subdivision situated between Whites Creek Pike & Knight Drive. A request was submitted for concept plan approval to create 26 cluster lots on a collection of properties totaling 11.99 acres. The properties are adjacent to 419 Green Lane. The request was made by Catalyst Design Group on behalf of the property owners.
South Hamilton & County Hospital Road

A request was submitted for final site plan approval for the property located at 1917 South Hamilton Road. Located in Bordeaux Area the owner is looking create 6 homesites on the single 0.6-acre lot.
West Of Downtown Nashville
Charlotte Westside

A request was submitted for final plat approval to create eight lots on properties located at 7533 and 7545 Charlotte Pike. The site is located about a mile from the Nashville West retail center. The request was made by Dale & Associates on behalf of the Owner.
Bellevue Townhomes

A request for plat approval was submitted to create 54 new townhomes with associated parking in Bellevue. The 11.77-acre site is located at 6842 Highway 70 South near Harding Pike. CSDG is the planner and engineer for the Development.
