Contractor JE Dunn, along with developer New City Properties, lead a tour of the much-anticipated Neuhoff District in Germantown. The hard hat tour primarily focused on the adaptive reuse of the former meat packing plant. However, the overall project will create an entire segment of neighborhood including office, retail, and multifamily development. Newly landscaped grounds, plazas, and a future pedestrian bridge across the Cumberland River, will provide one cohesive mixed-use district.

Conceptual Site Plan
New City Properties acquired the 14-acre Neuhoff site back in 2019. The property is located on the west bank of the Cumberland River in the eastern section of Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood. The existing building was constructed in the early 1920’s and operated as a meat-packing facility. The property later served as mixed-use space housing the Nashville Jazz Workshop, the Nashville Cultural Arts Project, and a frequent place for photographers and lovers of abandoned buildings.

Phase I of the project will consist of approximately 448,000 square feet of office, hospitality, and retail space in addition to 542 multi-family units. The office tower, planned boutique hotel, and former meat packing plant are located closest to the Cumberland River. The two multifamily buildings which flank a new plaza are located closest to a segment of the Nashville Greenways Trail. Phase 1 construction is slated for completion in 2024.

Construction has commenced on nearly all projects included in Phase 1 of Neuhoff. The Phase II office site can accommodate 275,000 square feet of additional office space as well as rights to future adjacent land parcels. The image below shows the preliminary site plan for Phase II. Be sure to check back later as the design continues to progress.
