“Located on the Cumberland River Greenway and facing 2nd Avenue North, the design for the mixed-use Chamberlain House is intended to serve as a catalyst for a walkable downtown Nashville. The building facades are conceived as a series of bent planes that diverge from the typical apartment building aesthetic while also providing opportunities for active, unexpected spaces at the pedestrian scale.

Additional design touches in the active lifestyle community such as archways in the halls, curvature of the walls on the amenity level, and the placement of artwork and murals gives Chamberlain House a true sense of place. There are curated art pieces by numerous artists on the property from the cacti outside, painted art throughout the community, and artwork hanging in the halls.

Health and Wellness is at the center of amenities within Chamberlain House. From the hot sauna and cold plunge, to its direct access to the Cumberland River Greenway to Downtown, the community gives residents options for active and healthy living.
Riley continued, “Promoting active use is most evident on the north side of the site where the building’s courtyard physically connects to the downtown greenway, encouraging circulation within and around the site.”
