Marriott Nashville is a proposed 20-Story Luxury Hotel in the heart of Downtown. The project includes a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and amenity spaces throughout the 20-story structure. The development will replace a current parking lot next to Hume-Fogg Academic High School. The new hotel will be located on 119 7th Avenue North.
This project will be the only Marriott product under the Classic Premium Marriott Brand in Downtown Nashville. There are two other planned Marriott branded hotels (Ritz-Carlton & Edition) and one that recently opened (W Hotel) in the Gulch. This project will also join a collection of new hotel developments in the Downtown core. The map below shows a sample of new hotel projects which are either planned or under construction.
A request for final site plan approval was submitted in June of last year for the Project. Since that time the project has been re-submitted with a few modifications. Although the resubmission has the same number of floors, the overall square footage, and number of rooms have increase; the project also has 3 fewer parking spaces than the previously proposed plans.
Once approved, the request will permit a hotel on the 0.78-acre site. The request was made by Alamo Manhattan Properties, LLC on behalf of the property Owners. Here’s the quick rundown:

Both the Hotel Lobby and entrance into the parking garage are located on 7th Avenue North. There are three levels of underground parking which is capped by the double height lobby. Guests will be welcomed by 23-foot-high ceilings, a lobby bar and full restaurant concept situated along Commerce Street. Level 3 proposes various meeting breakout rooms while level 4 includes a mix of breakout rooms, junior ballroom, and grand ballroom.
The hotel tower starts on level 5 and includes the fitness center, elevated pool deck, and hospitality suites. The guest rooms continue through level 20 and features a mix of guest rooms and suites. Levels 19 & 20 introduces the luxury suites with higher ceilings on level 20. Level 21 has a rooftop venue with full kitchen and restrooms and opens to a large outdoor terrace.
The project also includes new pedestrian infrastructure including sidewalks, decorative lights, bench seating, decorative protective bollards & new planting areas. The rooftop also features a solar canopy.
