Construction at the ESa designed, Tempo by Hilton (Tempo) is well underway. Local contractor Bell Construction recently topped out the structure and the building is now taking shape. Developed by HRI Hospitality (HRI) the Tempo is an upcoming 16-story 306-room hotel in Downtown Nashville. The site is located at 127 Rosa L. Parks Blvd.

The new hotel re-imagines the sense of arrival into the City of Nashville. The building’s art deco design pulls from Tennessee’s, “theaters of old” and are displayed in elements throughout the hotel. An example of this can be seen in the parking garage screen which mimics backlit signage marquees from that era. Elements of the building’s façade also pulls from surrounding architecture such as the Estes Kefauver Federal Building.
“This project seeks to recall buildings that no longer exist, such as the Sudekum Building. It was Nashville’s first Art Deco tower and also the home to the Tennessee Theater that hosted movie premiers and even the Grammy Awards.”
— Lee Davis, ESa Senior Design Manager
