Progress At Tennessee’s Tallest Skyscraper, 1010 Church Street In Nashville.

Work is underway at what will soon become the tallest building in the state of Tennessee. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, in the burgeoning Church Street corridor, 1010 Church will rise 60-stories within 750 feet. The development will replace the parking lot and indoor pool of the existing YMCA along Church Street; both features will be brought back in the new development. Additionally, the YMCA will receive a 53,000 SF facility addition, bringing the total YMCA program to approximately 176,000 SF. The projects are located at 1010 & 1000 Church Street.

The new 60-story tower proposes a mix of condos and apartments with elevated amenities. There are also individual lobbies for both multi-family options. The 360 apartments are located on levels 10-39 and typically include 12 units per floor. The 140 condominiums are located on levels 41-60 and typically include 8 units per floor; with the exception of the penthouse levels. Plans indicate 3 penthouse units per floor on levels 57-60. The apartments range in size from 510 – 1,073 SF, the condos range in size from 975 – 2,214 SF, and the penthouses 2,691 – 4,651 SF (ranges subject to change). The port cohere and entrance into the parking deck is located along Church Street.

Separately, the YMCA will get a new 5-story addition which includes an expanded community level, basketball court, indoor pool, rooftop amenity, and space for future programing and expansion. The existing YMCA will also remain open during construction.

The Nashville experience at this upcoming landmark extends beyond the property.  The new development joins 3 other adjacent multifamily towers by the developer, the dual towers (Anna & Juno) at the Amazon Center Of Operational Excellence, the 19-acre multi-tower Nashville Yards mixed-use shopping & entertainment district, and multiple new tower announcements in the Gulch.

Once complete, this stretch of downtown spanning Broadway to MLK Blvd will offer a major live, work, and play destination.  There are multiple residential & office towers under construction, a 4500-person capacity live music and event venue operated by AEG Presents, a 12-screen experiential cinema destination operated by EVO Entertainment, and Putt-shack located across the viaduct in the Gulch.  With more than 2 million SF of development, the collective project area will offer fresh entertainment and social experiences for more of Nashville’s residents and tourists alike. The project features amenities on levels 9 and 40 of the tower. Some of the amenities shown include a large pool deck, game room, private dining room, catering kitchen, multiple lounges, a fitness center with yoga room, and coworking spaces with huddle rooms on Level 9. Level 40 features a large multi-purpose room, sky lounge, an even larger private dining room, and catering kitchen.

Demolition of the existing pool and parking lot has taken place as well as site excavation and grading activities. The crane pad has been placed and the first section of the crane can now be seen from the sidewalk.
