Wood Partners announced that it closed on land for its planned multifamily development Alta Rochelle. Located in Edgehill, the 3.9-acre development will bring 355-unit multifamily units to the site of Rochelle Center located at 1021 South Street.

“At Wood Partners, our sturdy institutional relationships allow us to consistently pursue and close real estate deals despite the widespread market challenges,” Steffens said. “Wood Partners leads the market in providing award-winning multifamily housing to address this amazing city’s growth and we will continue to actively seek new projects and opportunities in the region.”
The project features a luxury rooftop pool courtyard with panoramic Downtown skyline views, co-working hub with 16 private rentable offices, two-level fitness center, private cinema, and speakeasy event space.
Since launching in Nashville, Wood Partners has completed five projects with an additional three projects under construction and two projects expected to start within the next two months for nearly 3,000 units in the Nashville area. The map below shows a sample of upcoming and ongoing projects.

“Our goal is always to preserve the character and culture of the neighborhoods we develop in, and with Alta Rochelle’s uniquely central location at the intersection of three of Nashville’s most well-known neighborhoods – historic Edgehill, The Gulch, and Music Row – our approach to this has been as important as ever. With intentional features and best-in-class design, Alta Rochelle captures the heart and soul of its iconic Nashville surroundings. This will be a tremendous community for the live-work-play lifestyle, offering an unbeatable location, curated amenities, and inspired design. We look forward to breaking ground and providing an exciting housing option in Nashville’s most sought-after neighborhood.”

The project’s name, Alta Rochelle, honors the legacy of W.R. Rochelle. In 1968, long-time area educator W.R. Rochelle began the foundation of the agency The Rochelle Center to offer supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supports would enhance skills necessary for individuals to become as independent and active as possible in our community. The W.R. Rochelle Foundation continues that mission today through the Rochelle Center.
Wood Partners is also serving as the general contractor. Alta Rochelle will break ground in January 2024.
