The property owner Chris Sizemore expressed that he wanted to work with Metro as he refines the design as well as minimize the impact to the existing tenant by working to accommodate the use into the project. Sizemore also plans to engage the recently completed Fort Negley Master Plan by offering family-sized units in the upcoming development.
The vision behind the Fort Negley master plan is to, “Create an open-air museum of national significance that speaks through the cultural landscape to reveal history from the civil war to the civil rights movement. It includes enhancements and restoration of the existing historic landmark which includes new plazas, restored landscapes, new interpretive nodes, and open spaces. One of the proposed nodes, Bass Street Plaza, is located across from The 924 and shown below for context.
