Chicago-based Albion Residential, today announced that the first of its two planned towers at Albion Music Row have started vertical construction. The first tower is 29-stories, 350 feet, and will deliver 458 units. Albion Music Row’s site is comprised of five lots located at the southwest corner at the intersection of McGavock Street and 14th Avenue. The address is 1501 McGavock Street.

“We’re so pleased to see Albion Music Row begin to take shape leading the charge within one of the city’s most high-profile redevelopment sites. As one of the few projects of its scale to move forward in Nashville in the past year, Albion Music Row further highlights our acumen at navigating through a challenging market to deliver exceptional projects that are embraced by the community.”
Jason Koehn, President at Albion Residential.
Designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, amenities include a spacious outdoor plaza with performance stage, a podcasting studio, a variety of social and coworking spaces, first in class indoor and outdoor fitness facility, as well as a resort-style rooftop pool with DJ booth. The upcoming residences will be activated with retail and restaurant spaces on the ground floor allowing for overflow into its centerpiece: a more than half acre public green space which will feature public art, and a performance stage and great lawn to encourage regular music uses.
Albion Music Row is the second large scale ground-up project in Nashville’s urban core, as Albion in the Gulch, a $140 million tower with 415 premium rentable units at 645 Division Street, opened in Spring of 2023. The project was awarded the ULI Nashville Excellence in Development Award in 2024 as well as winning the 2023 LIVE Award from the Nashville Downtown Partnership and earned 1st place in GNAA’s Diamond Awards for its clubhouse. Albion Residential has also branched out in surrounding markets like Murfreesboro, completing a total renovation of an existing student housing building into a revitalized apartment complex known as Albion Murfreesboro.

“I’m proud to announce Albion in the Gulch reached stabilization in Summer of 2024 ahead of our best projections, with occupancy remaining above 90%. As validated by its many accolades, this project stands out with its design, attention to detail, and luxury amenities and has solidified our brand as a go-to luxury residential destination in the Nashville market.”
Andrew Yule, Vice President of Development at Albion Residential

As part of the milestone at Albion Music Row, the developer has launched an initial preview landing page for the project including a first look at interior renderings. Construction on the tower, led by Clark Construction, is expected to top out in Q4 of next year. A link to the landing page can be found (here).
