MJM Architects, Inc. (MJM), a Nashville-based architectural, interior design, and structural engineering firm, is pleased to announce its expansion into a full service architectural and engineering practice with the acquisition of Entech Engineering(Entech), a local MEP engineering company. MJM and Entech have more than a twenty-five-year history of working together on projects across the United States and will now operate as one office, cementing the close relationship between the two companies. Entech’s employees have all joined MJM at its Nashville office, making it one of the largest employee-owned architectural and engineering firms in Nashville.

“By bringing the complementary services of this long-time partner in-house, we will be better positioned to meet the needs of both of our companies current and future clients,” said Mathew Root, AIA, OAA, the Chief Operating Officer at MJM. “After collaborating on projects together for so many years, we are very excited about what combining the talents and experience of our employee-owners will hold for the future.”

MJM Architects, founded in 1986, has grown into a leading architecture firm specializing in commercial, retail, and experiential design across the United States and internationally. Under the current leadership of CEO Stephen P. Maher, AIA, the firm transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company in 2023 through a sale to an employee trust, reinforcing its commitment to shared success and long-term sustainability. Following the acquisition of Entech Engineering on January 1st, all Entech employees have also become employee-owners, further strengthening MJM’s integrated full-service capabilities.

Entech provides mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for commercial, educational, institutional, and healthcare buildings across the United States. The new combined entity will continue to provide engineering services under the Entech Engineering name, now adding MJM’s structural engineering team to its portfolio of services.
