ULI Nashville is gearing up for its 15th Annual Excellence in Development Awards which celebrates transformative development projects in the Nashville, Middle Tennessee Region, and new this year is the addition of East Tennessee developments in Knoxville and Chattanooga. ULI Nashville hosts the awards as part of its commitment to being a leader in real estate and land use, and the Excellence in Development Awards celebrate transformational development. The Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Omni Nashville Hotel. Individual ticket sales for the event end on Friday, April 15, 2025. Fifteen projects have been nominated for the Awards in 2025, representing large and small projects from the private, public and non-profit sectors. Each nominee was judged on criteria that support ULI’s mission, “Shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.” The event is sponsored by Merus (formerly Al. Neyer), Dowdle Construction Group, Kaalberg Giesecke, Alvine Engineering, Catalyst Design Group, Core Development, Cremona Custom Built, Evans Petree Property Tax Group, Painters On Demand, Industrious, EMC Structural Engineers, and True North Advisory. Independent judges deliberated the merits of each project per the Awards evaluation criteria shown in the drop-down menu below:
Awards Evaluation Criteria:
- Market acceptance, financial viability, and operational stability.
- Excellence and innovation in several related areas including land use, design, construction, economics, sustainability / environmental sensitivity, and equity.
- Noteworthy use of value-added elements such as: public/private/non-profit partnerships, consideration of affordability, promotion of healthy lifestyles, response to a demonstrated community need, reflection of the character of the community, or a catalytic impact on other development or a community.
- Worthy of Emulation – creates a high standard of industry excellence, sets a new bar, stands out among others.
