BELL Construction has broken ground on a Miracle League ballpark, a $2.6 million fully accessible baseball field and concessions stand for children and adults with disabilities. The new field is being built on the former site of the Babe Ruth Field, a longtime fixture of youth baseball in the community for more than 40 years.
“This is truly a community project,” said Tyler Baldridge, project executive at BELL Construction. “We’re grateful to help make it happen by working with our partners to donate materials and bring the vision to life. Seeing the kids who will one day play on this field at the groundbreaking was a reminder of how impactful this project will be for families across Maury County.”
Designed by TKC Architecture and Heritage Civil and presented by Hewlett Spencer, the project is led by the Miracle League of Columbia in partnership with Maury County, which has committed $1 million toward the effort. The remainder of the funding has come from community support, with ongoing donations sought to complete an inclusive playground adjacent to the field.
BELL Construction is serving as the construction partner for the ballpark. As part of its role, BELL is also coordinating with local subcontractors to secure in-kind material donations, such as asphalt and other essential building components, reducing costs and freeing more resources for the playground campaign.
The Miracle League ballpark is one of several initiatives delivered through BELL’s Special Projects division, which focuses on high-impact community developments alongside the company’s large-scale building, heavy highway and civil projects. With more than 50 years of construction experience, BELL continues to build projects that strengthen communities across Tennessee and the Southeast.
