“The Lewter District Townhomes mark a new era for downtown living in Huntsville, and we’re thrilled to create a beautiful downtown community where people can live, work, and thrive,” said David Hecht, co-founder and manager of Emergent Properties.

Each home spans approximately 3,000 square feet over three levels, blending privacy, comfort, and sophistication in the heart of downtown. Features include private elevators, attached two-car garages accessed via a private motor court, and optional penthouse roof decks. Oversized windows flood the homes with natural light, illuminating white oak floors, high ceilings, and custom kitchens.
A hand-crafted brick façade, landscaped front entry garden, and multiple private outdoor spaces provide a refined retreat in the heart of Huntsville’s historic downtown. Perched on a hill overlooking Big Springs Park, the townhomes offer rooftop mountain views and convenient access to the city’s restaurants, shops, and nightlife.
“The Lewter District is poised to become Huntsville’s premier destination, and RNGD is honored to play a key role in bringing this dynamic mixed-use community to life,” said Wesley J. Palmisano, founder and CEO of RNGD and co-founder and manager of Emergent Properties.

As a vertically integrated design-builder, RNGD is overseeing the design, construction, and development of all project elements. Other components of the Lewter District mixed-use community include:
- The restoration and renovation of the historic Lewter Hardware Company building, including the addition of Brick & Tin, a farm-to-table restaurant on the first level and the RNGD Huntsville office on the second level.
- Construction of a new five-story, 75,000-sq.-ft. Class-A office building scheduled to open in spring 2026. Tenants will include Maynard Nexsen, a full-service national law firm that will relocate its Huntsville office to the top two floors of the new building.

Julie Lockwood at Van Valkenburgh & Wilkinson is leading sales for the Lewter District Townhomes. The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. on September 18 and will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Huntsville’s first new townhome development in nearly a century.
