BELL Construction has completed the Miracle League ballpark in Columbia, Tennessee, a $2.6 million fully accessible baseball field and concession stand for children and adults with disabilities. The new field was built on the former site of the Babe Ruth Field, a longtime fixture of youth baseball in the community for more than 40 years and officially opened April 18, 2026. The ballpark provides a safe, inclusive space where players of all abilities can enjoy the game.
“For BELL, this project is meaningful because it reflects what local construction should do – serve the people and communities around us,” said Tyler Baldridge, project executive and member (owner) at BELL Construction. “This ballpark gives families in Maury County a place where every player can experience the joy of baseball, and we’re proud to help deliver a space that will make a lasting impact for years to come.”

Designed by TKC Architecture and Heritage Civil and presented by Hewlett Spencer, the project was led by the Miracle League of Columbia in partnership with Maury County, which committed $1 million toward the effort. The remainder of the funding came from community support. BELL Construction served as the construction partner for the ballpark. As part of its role, BELL coordinated with local subcontractors to secure in-kind material donations, including asphalt and other essential building components, helping reduce costs and support the broader vision for an inclusive park.
The ballpark was designed to accommodate wheelchairs and assistive devices, with accessible dugouts and concession areas thoughtfully planned for children and adults with disabilities. The result is a space that puts inclusion, dignity and community at the heart of play.
The Miracle League ballpark is one of several initiatives delivered through BELL’s Special Projects division, which focuses on high-impact community developments alongside the company’s large-scale building, heavy highway and civil projects. With over 55 years of construction experience, BELL continues to build projects that strengthen communities across Tennessee and the Southeast.
