CSDG announced the addition of Josh Bethea, PLA, as leader of the firm’s Landscape Architecture practice. His hire represents a strategic investment as the firm continues to expand its integrated platform of planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services across Tennessee and the Southeast.

“Josh is a key strategic hire whose experience and leadership align closely with where CSDG is headed,” said Kevin Gangaware, Chief Executive Officer. “His leadership of the landscape architecture practice allows other members of our leadership team to focus on firm-wide business development efforts and growth strategy in our other markets, including our Chattanooga office. This structure strengthens our ability to grow intentionally while maintaining the quality and culture that define our firm.”

Bethea brings more than 25 years of experience leading projects across land development, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, and multifamily environments. His expertise includes site planning, amenity design, construction documentation, and implementation coordination across a wide range of project types and geographic markets.
Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for thoughtful, place-based design and for creating landscapes that integrate seamlessly with architecture and interiors. With a background in both design and design-build practice, he brings a comprehensive understanding of how projects move from concept through construction while maintaining a strong focus on quality, detail, and user experience.

Bethea Continues, “The organization has built a strong leadership platform over the past 25 years and a clear vision for the future. I look forward to supporting the growth of our people and helping strengthen the firm’s impact across the region.”
Bethea rejoins CSDG after three years with Ironwood Design Group, returning to the firm where he previously helped support the early growth of the Landscape Architecture studio. At CSDG, Bethea will lead the Landscape Architecture practice, guiding design direction, team development, and project delivery across a wide range of markets and project types while advancing collaboration among planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture disciplines.
