Pietown has been organically evolving as a solid Downtown subdistrict over the past few development cycles. Its proximity to the central business and tourism districts offers development density flexibility, giving it unique positioning despite some less-than-ideal market conditions. Unlike many areas targeted for development in the urban core, instead of seeing the demolition of the existing warehouses and other underutilized structures for new towers, Pietown has seen a mix of proposals with a few of them restoring or adding to the original structure.
