Building on the success of its Germantown projects, The Mainland Companies will look to deploy its luxe townhome product in the West End area of Nashville. Westbourne is a new townhome development consisting of 19 distinct home sites. Phase one includes 10 modern-classic homes which are anticipated to list between $2.6 and $3.1 Million. The gated community has frontage on both Hillcrest Place and West End Circle.

Nashville-based Manuel Zeitlin Architects (MZA) is designing the project. MZA has designed the exterior of the homes with materials that combine traditional and contemporary elements.

“The organic form and elevation changes of the Westbourne site presented us with the challenge and opportunity to design a townhouse community with distinct variety. Cues from original homes in the neighborhood guided material choices and architectural form to create an environment that feels both new and familiar.”

Distinctive architecture, timeless finishes, and intentional floor plans are themes which can be seen throughout the residences. Buyers can choose from two designer finish palettes and each home will feature a private rooftop and two-car garage. The patterns, lines, and detail of the finish packages are filled with character and craftsmanship which is a key element of luxe real estate. The representative images below provide a sample of the Modern & Transitional finishes for the homes.

The seemingly familiar floor plan has considered details which positions it is as a place to live, entertain, and grow. Phase one includes two floor plans that are 21 and 19 feet wide respectively. Floor plans will vary depending on which street it faces and position within the each of the six galleries that make up the site. There are three galleries facing both West End Circle and Hillcrest Place.

On West-End Circle, The 21-foot “Abbey” plan has a set of double doors which greets you with a vaulted foyer and opens to the living room above. The stairs are set back from the door creating a grand entrance. There is a guest suite/bedroom on the first level which has a full bathroom and walk-in closet. From the rear the, the two-car garage has a dedicated mudroom once you enter the residence with built-ins.
As you approach the second level landing, your eyes gaze across the space and intentionally dedicated dining room, living room, and kitchen. As you continue, the banquet and den area frame a backdrop beyond the kitchen. There is also a walk-in pantry, wet-bar and powder room.

Level 3 features the primary bedroom, with its well-placed windows and doors, which creates functional symmetry and offers an organic flow from the bedroom to primary bath. The primary bath includes an oversized shower, soaking tub, dual vanity, and walk-in-closet. The third bedroom suite which includes full bath and walk-in-closet and the petite-launderette is also on this level. The rooftop deck nearly spans the full home and features an outdoor kitchen.

On Hillcrest Place the 19-foot “Bair” plan takes a more formal approach and with dedicated space to support gatherings. The homes are semi split-level as the garage is set lower from the gated entrance on West End circle. When entering the home there’s a formal dining room with an adjoining butler’s pantry that also connects to the kitchen. Continuing down the hall is a powder room and coat closet, before opening to the kitchen and living room. There is an expansive mudroom landing between the garage and first level.

There are two bedroom suites on the second floor both with full bathrooms and walk-in closets. There is also a seating area and petite-launderette on this floor. The third floor is dedicated exclusively to the Primary Suite and is an exercise in duality. It features dual walk-in closets with a launderette, a nearly 10-foot dual vanity, soaking tub, and dual shower with multiple heads. The bedroom also has a fireplace feature wall. The rooftop deck is expansive and highlights spectacular 360 degree views of Nashville’s coveted West End.
