The Atlanta-based development team behind the recently proposed Courtyard Marriott in the Gulch is in the final planning stages for an AC Marriott in Midtown. North Point Hospitality has submitted final site plan documents for the property, which is located along the Church street corridor. The 2-development parcel is located at 1902 Hayes Street.


The project has been in the works for quite some time following the Covid cooling period. The developer, however, continued to make progress on the site getting preliminary SP Approval in February of 2022. The site is approved for a total of 315 multifamily units, 182 hotel rooms, and more than 5,000 SF of retail.
A request has been submitted for final site plan approval for the property. which is zoned SP. Once approved, the request will permit the hotel on the 0.38 acres site. The request was made by Kimley Horn on behalf of the property owner. Here’s the quick rundown:

Designed by ESa, the hotel facade consists of precast concrete with a vertical Stacked brick accent. The 167 foot building has 3 levels of the above grade parking deck which is wrapped with metal fins. The 164 hotel rooms sit above the parking garage and features a rooftop amenity. The plans did not include detailed floor plans.
