The Hilton brand continues to expand in the urban core as work on Nashville’s 1st Motto by Hilton progresses. Construction and Real Estate firm Mortenson, is on track to bring the 13-story hotel with approximately 260 guest rooms to Downtown Nashville. The project is situated between the Drury Plaza Hotel and Hyatt Place at 311 3rd Avenue S.

Motto by Hilton coins itself as a dynamic, stylish micro-hotel experience with its “incredible” efficient guest rooms, active lobby, and locally inspired food & beverage options, and modern design. There are currently 8 Motto by Hilton hotels spread across 4 countries and territories with 4 new locations in the works in Nashville, Atlanta, Hong Kong, Recife Antigo.
Downtown Nashville has seen an emergence of micro and select service hotel brands which emphasize eccentric interiors and situated in cultural urban centers. For context, developer CB Ragland proposed a Citizen M on 13th Avenue in the Gulch; they also recently completed the Caption by Hyatt across the street. A new Moxy was proposed last year at the convergence of Downtown and Germantown. The map below provides a sample of upcoming hotels for context.

The 0.23 acre property sold for $7,075,000 in March of 2024 according to public records. Here’s the quick rundown:
